Reputation Systems Engineer

About the role

Antfarm DAO is a decentralized Web3 product organization building transparent, verifiable infrastructure for digital assets and technical contributors. Our ecosystem includes Antfarm Finance, an onchain portfolio and liquidity-management protocol, and Proof of Dev, a platform that helps developers demonstrate meaningful engineering work through technical evidence such as code contributions, smart-contract deployments, attestations, security work, and project history. Our team works across decentralized finance, blockchain integrations, indexing, data systems, developer reputation, security, and product design. We are looking for people who can turn complex requirements into secure, maintainable products and who are comfortable taking ownership in a remote, early-stage environment. Design the evidence and scoring systems behind Proof of Dev. You will translate written specifications into transparent, testable models that represent developer activity without reducing complex work to arbitrary numbers. The role combines data modeling, rule implementation, provenance, anti-gaming analysis, and close collaboration with product, engineering, and domain experts.

Responsibilities

• Define data models for identities, projects, repositories, deployments, attestations, reviews, and evidence provenance
• Implement specification-based scoring, classification, and eligibility rules with deterministic outputs
• Build explainable scoring components that show which evidence affected each result
• Design versioning, recalculation, audit, and historical-comparison mechanisms for changing specifications
• Create validation datasets, edge-case tests, and simulations for score behavior
• Identify manipulation risks, duplicated evidence, identity conflicts, and unfair weighting patterns
• Collaborate with backend and data engineers to productionize models and monitor quality

Required skills

• Experience in data modeling, rules engines, scoring systems, analytics, or trust and safety systems
• Strong TypeScript or Python skills and the ability to express specifications as tested software
• Understanding of schema design, data lineage, reproducibility, and model versioning
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to communicate tradeoffs to technical and non-technical teams
• Commitment to transparent, evidence-based, and bias-aware system design

Preferred skills

• Experience with developer analytics, fraud prevention, reputation, credentials, or identity systems
• Knowledge of GitHub data, blockchain activity, attestations, and open-source contribution patterns
• Experience designing interpretable models rather than opaque machine-learning scores
