Blockchain Data Engineer

About the role

Antfarm DAO is a decentralized Web3 product organization building transparent, verifiable infrastructure for digital assets and technical contributors. Our ecosystem includes Antfarm Finance, an onchain portfolio and liquidity-management protocol, and Proof of Dev, a platform that helps developers demonstrate meaningful engineering work through technical evidence such as code contributions, smart-contract deployments, attestations, security work, and project history. Our team works across decentralized finance, blockchain integrations, indexing, data systems, developer reputation, security, and product design. We are looking for people who can turn complex requirements into secure, maintainable products and who are comfortable taking ownership in a remote, early-stage environment. Develop the high-performance indexing and data-pipeline layer that converts raw blockchain activity into reliable product data. You will build Rust services that consume RPC, logs, traces, and contract events while handling chain reorganizations, retries, backfills, and large data volumes. Your work will power portfolio views, developer evidence, scoring inputs, monitoring, and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain blockchain indexers and event-processing services in Rust
• Consume RPC endpoints, logs, traces, blocks, transactions, and contract events across supported networks
• Design reliable ingestion, decoding, normalization, enrichment, and persistence pipelines
• Handle chain reorganizations, duplicate events, checkpoints, backfills, and provider failures
• Create interfaces that deliver indexed data to Next.js services, APIs, and scoring systems
• Profile and optimize throughput, memory use, database access, and processing latency
• Implement monitoring, reconciliation, data-quality checks, and operational runbooks

Required skills

• Strong professional Rust experience and knowledge of asynchronous programming
• Experience building indexers, distributed data services, or high-volume event pipelines
• Understanding of EVM blocks, transactions, logs, confirmations, and reorganization behavior
• Experience with databases, queues, retries, idempotency, and production observability
• Ability to reason carefully about correctness, ordering, and incomplete external data

Preferred skills

• Experience with alloy-rs, ethers-rs, Substreams, The Graph, Kafka, or similar tooling
• Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or analytical data stores
• Experience indexing multiple chains or building reconciliation systems for financial data
